Gophers Announce 2023-24 Track & Field Schedules

MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota Gophers track & field programs announced both their indoor and outdoor schedules for the upcoming 2023-24 season Monday.
INDOOR
The Golden Gophers indoor schedule kicks off in early December with the M City Classic from Dec. 8-10. All indoor home meets will be ran at the Minnesota Fieldhouse, a 200-meter, six-land track that was opened in 2018.
Minnesota will host three more indoor meets when the calendar turns to 2024 starting with the Jack Johnson Classic from Jan. 26-27. The Maroon and Gold will also host the Windy City Classic (Feb. 9-10) and the Snowshoe Open (Feb. 16).
Minnesota's road schedule will begin on Jan. 12, when the team travels to Houston for the second straight year for the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational. Minnesota during the month of January will also visit St. Thomas, Michigan and Macalester. February's meets will be highlighted by the team's annual trip to the Meyo Invite, hosted by Notre Dame, from Feb. 3-4. Minnesota will also compete at 'The Showcase' at St. Thomas as well as the Gene Glader Classic at Bethel.
The indoor championship season starts with the Big Ten Indoor Championships from Feb. 23-24, in Geneva, Ohio, at the SPIRE Institute. The NCAA Indoor Championships will be held from March 8-9 in Boston, Mass.
OUTDOOR
The outdoor season begins the first week of March at the University of Texas at the Longhorn Invite on March 2. The start of the outdoor season will feature four different meets during the month of March, which includes trips to the University of Miami (March 15-16), Baylor (March 22-23) and NC State (March 28-30).
Minnesota will remain on the road until the middle of April with trips to Texas A&M (April 5-6), San Diego (April 5-6), Hamline (April 6) and Bethel (April 13). The first outdoor action at the University of Minnesota outdoor track and field stadium will be the Running On Hope Invite on April 17.
Later that same week Minnesota heads down for a big meet at Louisiana State University at the Alumni Gold, on April 20. Minnesota will also have competitors at the Holst Invite at Concordia St. Paul as well as at the Mt. Sac Relays in California.
The end of April will feature one final home meet, the first Gary Wilson Invitational, on April 24. The remainder of the season will be on the road with the regular season concluding with trips to Macalester (April 25 and April 27), the Drake Relays (April 25-27), and Arizona (April 27).
The outdoor championship season begins with the 2024 Big Ten Outdoor Championships on May 10, in Ann Arbor, Mich., and will conclude on May 12. The NCAA West Regional in 2024 will be hosted by the University of Arkansas, and runs from May 22-25. The 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships will be hosted in Eugene, Ore., by the University of Oregon, from June 5-8.
