12/4/2023 1:42:00 PM | Women's Hockey

MINNEAPOLIS – Redshirt junior Abbey Murphy has been named WCHA Forward of the Week and freshman Ava Lindsay has earned Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced Monday.

Murphy picks up a WCHA weekly award for the third time this season, this time following an eight-point weekend against Bemidji State. Murphy's four goals and four assists has her at 99 career points, just one shy of the century mark.

Lindsay earns her first WCHA weekly award after scoring three times over the weekend. The Minnetonka, Minn. native found the back of the net twice in Friday's 9-2 win and scored once more on Saturday. Lindsay has now scored seven goals and added five assists in her first year donning the Maroon and Gold.

Minnesota (13-2-0) will travel to St. Cloud State (12-5-0) for a mid-week meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 6:00 p.m. at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. The game will be broadcast on B1G+.
