Gophers Secure Fourth Big Ten Series Win with Shutout Victory Over Iowa

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Senior Autumn Pease was dealing on Saturday, tossing a shutout to lead the Minnesota Golden Gophers past the Iowa Hawkeyes 3-0.

Pease (19-6) went the distance for Minnesota (27-16, 8-6 Big Ten), giving up seven hits, walking two and striking out 12.

Senior Amani Bradley led the way offensively for the Golden Gophers, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame with a triple and two RBI. Sophomore Taylor Krapf furnished a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 1-for-1 with a double.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Gophers took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning. Bradley came across to score the lone run of the inning for Minnesota and get them on the board.

The Golden Gophers then tacked on runs in the fifth inning when they scored two times. Those two runs came across when a single from Bradley scored senior Delanie Cox and freshman Breezy Burnett.
