McCauley and Herzog Receive Big Ten Honors

University of Minnesota women's golf freshman standout Isabella McCauley was named All-Big Ten Second Team Wednesday, April 26. It is the first Big Ten conference team selection for a Gopher since 2012 (Banchalee Theinthong) and is the second Big Ten honor of her career after earning B1G Golfer of the Week earlier this season.
McCauley has earned five top-10 as well as one top-20 finish in her freshman campaign. She earned her highest finish of the 2022-23 season tied for second at the Big Ten Championship on April 23rd. McCauley averaged a team-low 72.86 and has had her individual score count for the team in all 29 rounds played. Her round of 63 earlier this season is the second-lowest score in school history a(nd she is ranked 93rd individually by Golf Stat.
Senior Leah Herzog was Minnesota's Sportsmanship Award honoree. Herzog played in all 10 tournaments this season for Minnesota. This is Herzog's first Big Ten honor and caps off her collegiate career.
