MINNEAPOLIS – Gopher women's basketball head coach Dawn Plitzuweit will hold her first annual basketball camps in June, at the University of Minnesota. Registration is now open for the Gopher ID Camp (June 11) and the Lil Gopher Camp (June 19-22) and are available for purchase online. Be sure to register early as spots will fill up quickly.

Options are available for girls of two different age groups along with a high school team camp. Each camp is held at the University of Minnesota campus and is led by the women's basketball coaching staff.

The Lil Gopher Camp for grades K-7 will be held on June 11. Lil Gopher Camp is designed to help players of all skill levels improve their game through fundamental work on offensive and defensive basics including ball handling, shooting, defense, and rebounding. Along with developing solid individual fundamental skills, each camper will participate in individual competitions as well as team competitions. Each camper will receive instruction from the best college coaches and college players in the country and learn in a positive and fun environment. Registration is $380 per camper and includes a camp shirt.

The Gopher ID Camp for grades 7-12 will be held from June 19-22. Grade classification is determined by an individual's grade as of the Fall of 2023. The Gopher ID Camp offers serious athletes the chance to compete against the best and learn from the best. Minnesota's ID Camp is designed to take already developed skills and make them better, to assist each camper in each facet of their game, and to give them the tools necessary to improve and get better after camp has concluded. College coaches from around the area will be in attendance as well to watch you compete. We will finish the day off by watching the WNBA Minnesota Lynx and LA Sparks. (Transportation not provided to game/additional tickets avail for purchase for families). The registration fee of $150 also includes a camp shirt, lunch and a Lynx-Sparks ticket.
