Pease and Krapf Earn NFCA All-American Status

The battery becomes Minnesota's 14th and 15th Golden Gophers to achieve All-American status
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Minnesota softball student-athletes Autumn Pease and Taylor Krapf have been named to NFCA All-America Teams, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Wednesday evening.
Pease was tabbed Second Team All-America At-Large Pitcher while Krapf earned Third Team All-America At-Large Catcher. The battery become Minnesota's 14th and 15th Golden Gophers to achieve All-American status. This is the first All-America honor for both Pease and Krapf in their careers.
Now seated amongst the Gopher Greats, Autumn Pease has shined throughout her fifth year, ending the season with a 27-7 record, recording nine shutouts, 273 strikeouts, with a 1.46 ERA.
Pease adds All-America status to her 2023 resume along with 2023 Big Ten Pitcher of the Year, NFCA Great Lakes All-Region First Team, All-Big Ten First Team, and All-Big Ten Tournament Team.
Krapf, a native of Oviedo, Fla., led the team with 14 home runs on the season, driving in 48 runs. She slugged .671 with a .446 on-base clip and a .342 average. The sophomore set a career high of six runs drove in against Michigan, hitting two three-run bombs against the Wolverines.
Krapf adds All-American status to her long list of accolades from the 2023 season including: NFCA Great Lakes All-Region First Team, All-Big Ten First Team, and Big Ten Player of the Week.
The NFCA All-America Teams are voted on by the Association's All-America Committees. In Division I, the committee is compromised of one selected member head coach from each of the NFCA's 10 regions. All student-athletes who were nominated by a member head coach and voted to the first-, second or third-team All-Region teams were eligible for All-America consideration.
