Hailey Loh joins the team as a transfer from California Baptist University

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota Women's Golf team announced the signing of Hailey Loh, a senior transfer from California Baptist University and a member of the Singapore National Team. Loh will join the Gophers in the upcoming 2023-24 season.

Hailey Loh is a native of Singapore and attended the Singapore Sports School before beginning her NCAA career at CBU. While in high school, Loh earned multiple high-level honors for her ability on the course and in the classroom. Some included being named the 2019 Student-Athlete of the Year, 2019 Golfer of the Year, and earning an Outstanding Academic Achievement award in 2019. As a freshman at CBU, Loh made an immediate impact. She played in all six spring tournaments and held the second-lowest scoring average on the team (74.94) which led to her being named Second Team All-WAC. She continued this impressive play into her sophomore year where she recorded two top-five finishes, one of which came at the WAC Championship. As a junior in 2022-23, Loh piled on more outstanding achievements to her resume. Playing in eight tournaments, she came out as an individual champion twice, including a win at the WAC Championship. She was the first golfer in CBU's program history to win an individual championship at the conference tournament. Loh was also named First Team All-WAC and earned an award for WAC Golfer of the Week during the season.

FROM HAILEY LOH:
"I am beyond grateful to be joining the team in my last year of eligibility. It has always been my dream to study and play golf at a big university, and being a part of the Minnesota golf team allows me to fulfill that childhood dream of mine," said Loh. "The school, city, and golf facilities are nothing short of amazing and I can't wait to get on campus. I am so excited to be able to be part of such an amazing and talented team, we are going to do such great things this year."

FROM THE COACH:
"I am very excited to announce the signing of Hailey Loh to our 2023-24 class," said head Coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "She is a very talented and experienced collegiate athlete and will add great depth to our already talented roster."
