Former Gophers Van Rooyen and Gauget Paired Up at 3M Open

MINNEAPOLIS - Former Minnesota Gopher and PGA Tour Pro Erik Van Rooyen will be paired up with his caddie and former Gopher teammate, Alex Gaugert, Thursday and Friday at the 3M Open in Blaine, Minn.
Gaugert, who has caddied for Van Rooyen for the past four years, will be making his PGA Tour debut after qualifying for the tournament thanks to finishing in a tie for second at the Monday Qualifier at Victory Links Golf Club in Blaine earlier this week.
Van Rooyen ('13) and Gaugert ('14) were teammates at Minnesota for three seasons.Â
The two former Gophers will be teeing off Thursday at 2 p.m. along with Ryan Moore, and again Friday at 8:35 a.m.
