The 2023 University of Minnesota football team will open its season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31, at Huntington Bank Stadium when the Gophers host Nebraska on FOX.
This past offseason has seen a number of new enhancements and initiatives at the stadium that Gopher fans can look forward to this year. Single-game tickets are available for Minnesota's 2023 home schedule. They start as low as $25 and are on-sale here.
Enhanced LED video boards throughout Huntington Bank Stadium
Nearly 9,500 square feet of enhanced digital canvas were updated throughout Huntington Bank Stadium prior to this season. This significant LED enhancement project with Daktronics includes displays in the west endzone (main videoboard, lower fascia, external marquee), north and south main bowl fascia, east endzone auxiliary videoboard, and Club Cambria. The state-of-the-art technology features upgraded pixel spacing for enhanced screen resolution and optimal viewing.
Cashless concessions and innovative point of sale system
All concessions within Huntington Bank Stadium have gone cashless. Point of sale technology has also been added at all stands to improve ordering efficiency and speed of service. All major credit/debit cards are accepted as well as Apple and Google mobile payment options.
Gopher Hour returns to West Plaza
Gopher Hour returns on the West Plaza featuring discounted food and beverage options until 30 minutes prior to kickoff. A full list of food and beverage offerings for the 2023 season can be found here.
Additional entry/exit lanes at numerous parking facilities
Mobile parking passes will continue to be utilized for all fans to efficiently transfer and manage their parking passes. Parking & Transportation Services implemented enhancements at 4th Street Ramp, University Ave. Ramp, Gold Lot, Maroon Lot, Lot 37, and Lot 58 to add lanes to expedite entering/exiting parking lots surrounding Huntington Bank Stadium.
Game Day fan assistance texting service enabled
Gopher fans can now text 1-800-U-GOPHER (1-800-846-7437) for prompt service on game day to report issues or quickly have questions answered. All game day information continues to be located at gophersports.com/FBgameday to provide a central location for pertinent information that is easily accessible on your mobile device.
Club Cambria and full-service tailgating through RevelXP
Club Cambria, located on the third level of Huntington Bank Stadium, provides fans with some of the best sight lines as well as high-end premium amenities within the climate-controlled club area. Club Cambria will now open 2 hours prior to kickoff for all premium ticket holders and will also feature live music throughout the season. Full-service premium tailgating on the south lawn of Huntington Bank Stadium is also available for all home games through a partnership with RevelXP.
Big Ten football to air on the Big Ten Network, CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and NBC
A new set of broadcast partners will deliver all the Big Ten football action in 2023 across broadcast, cable, and direct-to-consumer platforms. While some Gopher games have already had their start time and TV broadcast partners announced, others have not. That information - in conjunction with the Big Ten conference and TV broadcast partners - will be announced for the remaining games either 12 or six days prior to gameday. The most up-to-date schedules and broadcast information can be found here.
Minnesota will host a 6:30 p.m. FOX studio show inside Huntington Bank Stadium prior to the Gophers home opener with Nebraska. The stage will originate from the West Plaza. Additionally, Big Ten Network will be on campus to air their BTN Tailgate pregame show from Lot 56 outside 3M Arena at Mariucci prior to Minnesota's homecoming game against Louisiana on September 30.
Huntington Bank Stadium bag policy reminder
Huntington Bank Stadium provides a "No Bag Line" to expedite entry at all major gates for fans who will not be bringing a permitted clear bag into the stadium. Only clear tote bags, one gallon resealable plastic bags and small clutches purses are permitted inside the stadium. Bags that do not comply with stadium policy can be safely stored at a secure and complimentary bag check located at Williams Arena. Details on the bag policy and prohibited items can be found here.
