MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota Women's Golf team officially announced its 2023-24 schedule Wednesday. The Gophers will compete in 11 different tournaments this season, including one home event.

The team will begin its fall campaign on Sept. 4 at the Boilermaker Classic in West Lafayette, Ind. This two-day event will be hosted by Purdue University at the Kampen Course.

Less than a week later, the Maroon and Gold will return home to compete in the Annika Intercollegiate presented by 3M. The lone home tournament of the season is set to be played at The Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minn.

The Gophers will hit the road again just five days later on Sept. 18 to travel across the country to Tacoma, Wash. for the Leadership and Golf Invitational. Competition will be held at Chambers Bay Golf Club, the host of the 2015 U.S. Open and 2022 U.S. Women's Amateur.

A trip to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Blessings Collegiate Invitational will round off the fall 2023 season. This three-day event takes place Oct. 2-4, and will have TV coverage on the Golf Channel.

The 2024 spring season starts with a trip out of the country to Rio Grande, P.R. for the Puerto Rico Classic. This is a first-time event for the Lady Gophers, and play will be held at The Grand Reserve Golf Club Feb. 4-6.

On Feb. 25, the Gophers will return to a familiar tournament, the Westbrook Invitational, in Peoria, Ariz. The team shot its second-best 54-hole score in school history last season at the Westbrook Invitational.

The Maroon and Gold will stay busy in March, playing in three different tournaments. First is The Show at Spanish Trail in Las Vegas, Nev., Mar. 4-5. The Spanish Trail Country Club is the host to the PGA Tour's Las Vegas Invitational.

The team will then head back to Arizona Mar. 15-17 for the Mountainview Invitational at the Mountain View Golf Club in Tucson. Set in the foothills of the Catalina Mountains, the course offers incredible views and windy conditions.

At the end of the month, the Maroon and Gold will travel south to Ardmore Okla. to play in The Bruzzy. Competition at this two-day event will be at historic Dornick Hills Country Club.

After a two week break, the Gophers will play once again in the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational tournament in Columbus, Ohio. This tournament will feature many fellow Big Ten teams.

The Big Ten Championship will be in new territory in 2024, with play being held at the Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre De Grace, Md. The tournament will take place Apr. 19-21.

The Gophers will return four golfers from last year's team, in addition to welcoming transfers Hailey Loh and Megan Furtney, as well as freshmen Phitchanaj Phongthammarug and Sara Tomaszewski.
