Thirty-Three Gophers in NHL Training Camps for 2023-24

MINNEAPOLIS - There will be a total of 33 former Minnesota men's hockey players entering National Hockey League training camps this year representing 21 different NHL organizations. The group covers nearly 20 years of Golden Gophers hockey, including 12 former captains.
Last season, 26 players saw the ice in an NHL game after having worn the Maroon and Gold during their collegiate careers. For the second-straight season, a Gopher skated with the Stanley Cup at the end of the campaign as Phil Kessel won with the Vegas Golden Knights, his third time winning the best trophy in sports.
