The 2019 All-American and Big Ten Pitcher of the Year now competes professionally for the OKC Spark

After leading the Gophers to their first Women's College World Series appearance in 2019, the All-American and Big Ten Pitcher of the Year continued her career in the softball world. Playing professionally for the OKC Spark and now coaching as an assistant at North Florida, Fiser reflects on her past season and how her time at Minnesota readied her for where she is now.

Gopher Sports: How far did you and the OKC Spark go this season?
Amber Fiser:
"2024 Champions!!!"

GS: Do you have any memorable games or stats from this past season?
AF:
"On July 5, I pitched seven complete innings with 11 strikeouts and two earned runs."

GS: What was your favorite memory with the OKC Spark this season?
AF:
"Being able to have our home field be the Hall of Fame Stadium (Now Devon Park). It was a very full circle moment for me, it gave me chills from the time of playing in the World Series in 2019. It brings a great crowd and it's a special atmosphere. Any trips we took as a team were a lot of fun because I love exploring new cities and places I've never been!"

GS: Did you travel to any cool places?
AF:
"New York and Chattanooga."

GS: How did Gopher Softball help you accomplish getting to the professional level?
AF:
"The Gopher Softball program challenged me to become the pitcher I am today. It allowed me to compete against the best players and teams in the country, become a better person, player, and teammate. It was a great platform to be a part of!"
