The ‘U’ Picks Up No. 7 Seed, Ready to Host Big Ten Women’s Soccer Tournament

Catch Minnesota in postseason action at home this weekend in the opening round of the 2024 Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. - The University of Minnesota soccer team earned the No. 6 seed and will face No. 10 seeded Penn State on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the opening round of the 2024 Big Ten Soccer Tournament, hosted at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium.
The Maroon and Gold finished the regular season with a 12-3-3 record and a 6-3-2 conference mark for the sixth seed. Notably, the Gophers went undefeated at home (7-0-2) for the first time since 2008.
Minnesota hosts the opening and quarterfinal rounds of the 2024 Big Ten Women's Soccer Tournament, Oct. 31-Nov. 3 all at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. USC, UCLA, Iowa, Washington, Michigan State, Rutgers, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin all earned berths following the conclusions of today's matches.
Teams that advance from the quarterfinals advance to the semifinal and championship match at CITYPARK Stadium in St. Louis, Mo., Nov. 7-10. A full schedule of events, streaming, and TV information can be found below.
