MINNEAPOLIS -- University of Minnesota women's golf head coach Matt Higgins has announced that Lauryn Finley (Lake Mary, Fla.) and Ha Ni Lee Jung (Guatemala City, Guat.) have signed scholarship agreements and will join the Golden Gophers program in 2025.

"I'm excited for this signing class," said head coach Matt Higgins. "I look forward to seeing them be substantial competitors in our lineup. They both add significant depth, a critical element in our immediate future to become a top level program!"

Finley, an attendee of the Florida Virtual School, boasts numerous Florida state golf accolades. Following the 2022-23 season, she was named Seminole County Girls Golf Athlete of the Year. Finley was given First Team All-State honors after helping the Florida Virtual School team take home two state championships and notching a second place individual finish in 2022. In 2023, she earned multiple top ten tournament finishes including third place at the Sunshine State Amateur, fourth at the Dixie Amateur, and eighth at the Kathy Whitworth Invitational.

"It's been fun watching Lauryn take her game to the next level," Higgins said. "She has added a lot of speed and worked really hard improving her putting. She will seamlessly transition to college golf. Lauryn's competitiveness and work ethic embodies what we look for on our team."

Lee Jung will join the Gophers after playing for the Asociacion Del Colegio Maya De Guatemala the past four years. She is a four-time Central American Champion and has been ranked as the number one player in Guatemala the last four years. Lee Jung has represented the Guatemalan Federation on the national stage for the past seven years.

"From our first call with Ha Ni, we felt she would be a perfect fit," Higgins said. "She is a solid ball striker and possesses very good course management skills. She is also tournament tested, having played junior golf extensively in the US and Central American."
