MINNEAPOLIS - Redshirt-senior forward Abbey Murphy and freshman goaltender Hannah Clark have each been named WCHA weekly award winners on Monday afternoon. Murphy and Clark are the first Gophers to earn conference honors this season, being recognized for stellar performances in last weekend's road sweep of No. 4 Minnesota Duluth.

Abbey Murphy earned WCHA Forward of the Week for the first time this season after back-to-back multi-point performances against the Bulldogs. Murphy tallied five points (1g-4a) over the weekend, including the game-winning goal in Friday's 4-1 victory. With her first of two assists in Saturday's 3-2 win, she reached 150 career points. Murphy leads the Gophers in scoring the season, having notched 21 points (10g-11a). She has recorded seven multi-point games through 14 games, and is on a six-game point streak. Murphy ranks in the nation's top-ten in both points and goals this season.

Hannah Clark earned the first conference weekly honor of her career, being named WCHA Goaltender of the Week after going 2-0-0 against No. 4 Minnesota Duluth. Throughout the weekend, Clark made a season and career-high 58 series saves, recording a .950 series save percentage. Clark also recorded her single-game high of 31 saves in Saturday's 3-2 victory, the most by any Gopher goaltender in a game all season.
