Kocevar Advances to Main Draw of ITF W15 Tournament

Lincoln, Neb. — University of Minnesota women's tennis junior Anali Kocevar secured a spot in the main draw at the 2024 ITF W15 tournament after clinching her second victory of the qualifying draw.
Representing her native country of Slovenia, Kocevar clinched her spot in the main draw on Tuesday with a win over Canada's Iulia Bucea in a 4-6, 6-3, 12-10 match. She previously defeated Germany's Denise Torrealba of Austin Peay State University 6-0, 7-5 in round one of the qualifying draw on Monday.
Kocevar will compete in the first round of the main draw on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., facing Kolie Allen, an Ohio State alumna representing the United States.
Kocevar is currently ranked No. 1507 in the ITF singles rankings and holds an ITF World Tennis Number of 16.01.
