Carroll, Striggow Accept Invitations to the Hula Bowl

Annual showcase bowl will be held on Jan. 11 in Orlando, Fla.
University of Minnesota football standouts Quinn Carroll and Danny Striggow have accepted invitations to compete in the Hula Bowl, which is a postseason showcase bowl that will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, in Orlando, Fla.
Carroll is one of the reasons why the Minnesota offense was able to produce such a successful season. The sixth-year lineman played right guard, right tackle and left tackle this year for the Gophers. He helped provide protection for a balanced offense that has rushed for 1,336 yards and 17 touchdowns and one that threw for 2,652 yards and 18 touchdowns, while averaging 26.33 points per game.Â
Striggow helped pace a defense that allowed only 17.50 points and 290.9 yards per game. He led all defensive linemen and finished fourth on the team with 47 tackles (24 solo). Striggow also tallied 4.0 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss, while breaking up one pass, forcing one fumble and recovering one fumble.Â
Before Carroll and Striggow compete in the Hula Bowl, Minnesota will compete in the Duke's Mayo Bowl against Virginia Tech on Jan. 3, 2025.Â
