Gophers Announce 2024 Spring Schedule

Minnesota will compete four times this spring
MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota volleyball program has announced the dates and opponents for its 2024 spring schedule. The Golden Gophers will compete four times, beginning Friday, March 22 at St. Thomas.
Minnesota is set to take on Iowa State at Faribault H.S. (Faribault, Minn.) on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 pm. For their lone home match of the spring season, the 'U' will host Marquette on Saturday, April 13 at Maturi Pavilion. Match time will be determined at a later date.
The Gophers close out their spring slate by taking on a fellow Big Ten opponent in Illinois on Saturday, April 20 in Waterloo, Wis. at Waterloo H.S. Match time will be at 1 p.m.
Minnesota began practicing in mid-January for the 2024 spring semester. The Gophers return eight athletes who saw significant time last year, including Second Team All-Big Ten selections Lydia Grote and Melani Shaffmaster. Two-time AVCA All-Region honoree Mckenna Wucherer also returns to anchor the outside hitter position. The Gophers added two early enrollees in setter Stella Swenson and outside hitter Olivia Swenson, who were both three-time state champions at Wayzata H.S.
