A 2021 AVCA and Under Armour First Team All-American and the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year • played at Brookfield Central and Milwaukee Sting Volleyball Club and came to Minnesota as one of the most decorated players in Wisconsin prep history • the No. 1 ranked 2022 recruit in both the state of Wisconsin • four-time Greater Metro Conference Player of the Year and a four-time WVCA All-State selection • as a junior, named the 2020 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and USA Today Girls Volleyball Player of the Year in addition to being named a Gatorade Player of the Year finalist • Under Armour First Team All-American in 2020 as well • ranked as the nation’s No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2022 by both PrepDig.com and PrepVolleyball.com • concluded her prep volleyball career with 2,028 kills and 1,076 digs • compiled 444 kills and 210 digs as a season and helped the Lancers (35-12) to the Division 1 state semifinals • tallied 50 service aces and 30 blocks while posting a kill percentage of .536 and a hitting percentage of .414 • missed 19 matches during the season while winning a bronze medal at the Under-18 World Championships in Mexico with the U.S. Under-18 Women’s National Team • on the club circuit, was a 2020 Prep Volleyball First Team All-America selection • led her 16U team to an Open USAV National Championship on her way to All-American honors • a two-time Ultra Ankle JVA All-National Team selection • led Team U.S.A. to a gold medal at the 2019 USAV High Performance Championships while also garnering tournament MVP honors • in the summer of 2021, was a USA U18 National Team member and led the Americans to a bronze medal at the FIVB U18 World Championships in Mexico • named to the 'Dream Team' as one of two best outside hitters at the FIVB U18 World Championships.
PERSONAL:
The daughter of Greg and the late Wendy Wucherer • has two older sisters, Miranda and Abby • Miranda played collegiate volleyball at Northern Kentucky and transferred to Minnesota for one season • sister Miranda is now with the Northwestern volleyball team as a coach • Abby played at Southern Utah • a member of the National Spanish language Honor Society and the BCHS Blue Crew student-athlete leadership organization, volunteered on behalf of Feed the Families in association with the Brookfield Food Pantry and for Soles for Jesus, which provides footwear for the needy in Africa • also donated her time with the House of Peace food pantry and a variety of breast cancer awareness foundations in addition to coaching youth volleyball athletes at the club and public school level • had a 4.134 GPA and graduated with honors • sports management major at Minnesota.
WHY MINNESOTA:
"I chose the University of Minnesota because of the outstanding mix of academics and athletics. I fell in love with the campus, coaching staff and atmosphere of the program. It felt as if I was at home and I can not wait to be a part of the legacy in Minneapolis."
