MINNEAPOLIS – Ten members of the University of Minnesota men's swimming and diving team are ready to compete at the 2024 NCAA Championships in Indianapolis, Ind. this week.

The event is hosted by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and the Indiana Sports Corporation. Competition kicks off on Wednesday, March 27, at the IU Natatorium with the 200 medley relay and 800 free relay.

Members of the Gophers are set to compete Thursday through Saturday with prelims at 10 a.m. CT and finals at 6 p.m. CT each day. ESPN+ will have streaming coverage of each session. A complete schedule with heat sheets and more can be found at the NCAA Championships Homepage

Minnesota will send seniors Kaiser Neverman, Chris Nagy, Matt McDonald and Casey Stowe; juniors Bar Soloveychik and Joe Rudd; sophomores Lovro Serdarevic and Drew Bennett; and freshmen YuTong Wang and Davide Harabagiu. The 10 individuals are tied for the most that the 'U' has sent to the National Championships since 2017.

Senior Kaiser Neverman will swim in the 200 IM where his best time of 1:42.75 at the Big Ten Championships broke the school record and garnered him the bronze medal. He is also scheduled to compete in the 100 fly (46.56) and 200 fly (1:42.47 - school record) after recording provisional cuts in the events during the season.

Fellow senior Chris Nagy qualified in the 1650 free (14:46.36). He will also race the 500 free after getting a provisional cut of 4:21.45 at the Big Ten Championships.

Like Neverman, junior Bar Soloveychik will also compete in three events. Soloveychik qualified in both the 500 and 1650 free. The junior is also eligible to compete in the 200 free after a school record breaking performance at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 1:33.37.

Freshman Davide Harabagiu is the final individual qualifier for Minnesota. He will make his NCAA debut in the 100 fly after breaking the school record in the event three times during the season. He is also eligible to swim in the 50 free (19.56) and the 100 free (42.95) thanks to provisional cuts throughout the season.

The other four Gophers all qualified as part of relay teams, as Minnesota will take part in the 400 medley relay and 400 free relay.

The 400 medley team of Stowe, Rudd, Harabagiu and Neverman ranks 18th after its time of 3:05.34 set at the Big Ten Championships. The 400 free relay team of Harabagiu, Neverman, Serdarevic and Stowe ranks 27th with a time of 2:51.51.
