Maroon & Gold Complete Second Round of Big Ten Championship

HAVRE DE GRACE, Mary. -- The University of Minnesota women's golf team finished round two of the Big Ten Championship today at Bulle Rock Golf Course. Battling through wet conditions early on the course, the Gophers remain in 10th place shooting a 296 (+8) with a two-round total of 597 (+21).
Isabella McCauley shot a team-best 71 (-1) to lead the Maroon & Gold on day two. Michigan State remains in the lead with a two-day score of 562 (-14).
Notable:
Sophomore Isabella McCauley carded three birdies and 13 pars on her way to a one-under-par (71). She is in solo 18th place with a two-day score of 74-71-145 (+1).
Senior Hailey Loh played a strong round posting three birdies and 12 pars to post a 73 (+1) in round two. Her two-round score of 76-73-149 (+5) has her tied for 36th place.
Graduate Megan Furtney tallied two birdies and 11 pars on her way to a round two 75 (+3). She sits tied for 47th place with a two day score of 75-76-151 (+7).
Graduate Emma Carpenter improved by three strokes between rounds to finish the day with a four-over-par 76 (+4). She is tied for 66th place with a two day score of 79-76-155 (+11).
Graduate Grace Curran carded a 79 (+7) in the second round after carding two birdies and 10 pars. Her two-round score 76-79-155 (+11) has her tied for 66th place.
Sophomore Junrui (Ruby) Chi closed out round two with a five-over-par 78 (+5). She is tied for 69th place with a two-round score of 77-78-155 (+11).

"We did a better job today of being present and executing the shots we needed at the time," said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "We get one more shot at this tomorrow and we plan to leave it all on the course."
