Second honor of the outdoor season

ROSEMONT, Ill. Devin Augustine from the University of Minnesota men's track and field program was named the Big Ten Conference Track Athlete of the Week Thursday following his record-breaking performance last weekend.

An NCAA All-American a year ago, Augustine continued his terrific junior season by setting a school record (10.02) in the 100m at LSU April 20, taking home an event victory. His time ranked No. 3 by an NCAA Division I athlete this season and broke Kion Benjamin's previous school record of 10.07 from 2022.

The Point Fortin, Trinadad & Tabago, native also won the men's 200m with a time of 20.98, which placed him at No. 10 in school history. Augustine also won B1G Track Athlete of the Week on April 10, 2024, after setting a Minnesota program record in the 200m.
