'U' Announces 2024-25 Schedule

The 28th season in program history will officially begin on Sept. 27.
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Golden Gopher women's hockey program has unveiled the schedule for the 2024-25 campaign. The 28th season in program history will feature a 28-game conference slate and six non-conference matchups.
The 'U' kicks off its schedule on the road at Connecticut on Sept. 27-28 before returning home to face Boston University on Oct. 4 and Oct. 6 at Ridder Arena.
WCHA play begins with a pair of rivalry matchups against Ohio State in Columbus, OH (Oct. 11-12) and at home against Wisconsin (Oct. 18-19). The first home-and-home series of the season sees Minnesota take on Minnesota State on Oct. 25 in Mankato before the two teams meet again on Oct. 27 in Minneapolis.
The Gophers begin the month of November with a road series at Bemidji State (Nov. 1-2). Following a week off, Minnesota heads back up north for a road matchup with Minnesota Duluth (Nov. 15-16). The Maroon & Gold take on St. Cloud State in the final series of the month. Game one of that series will take place at Ridder Arena on Nov. 22, with game two taking place in St. Cloud on Nov. 23. The first half of the season ends with a road series vs. St. Thomas on Dec. 6-7.
The second half of the season begins with the second-annual East/West Showcase on Jan. 3-4. The Gophers will face Brown and Penn State at Ridder Arena in the final two non-conference matchups of the regular season. Conference play resumes with a home series against St. Thomas (Jan. 10-11) and another home-and-home series with Minnesota State. Game one is set for Jan. 17 at Ridder Arena, with game two taking place on Jan. 18 in Mankato.
The Gophers close out the opening month of 2025 with back-to-back home series against Bemidji State (Jan. 24-25) and Ohio State (Jan. 31 and Feb. 1). The final month of the regular season will see Minnesota take on Wisconsin at home(Feb. 7-8), St. Cloud State in a home-and-home series (Feb. 14-15) and Minnesota Duluth at home (Feb. 21-22).

2025 WCHA Postseason Tournament
All eight league teams advance to the 2025 WCHA Postseason Tournament, with seeding set by their finish in the WCHA standings. The top four seeds each host a best-of-three quarterfinal series the weekend of Feb. 28-March 2, with the four winners advancing to meet at the 2025 Kwik Trip WCHA Final Faceoff on March 7-8 at Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minn.
