McCauley Tied for Top Individual Spot After Round Two in Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. -- University of Minnesota sophomore Isabella McCauley (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) wrapped up the second round of the NCAA Auburn Regional today. McCauley shot an improved round between sessions, shedding five strokes from her first 18 holes to finish the day with an even par 72. As it stands, McCauley is tied for the top individual spot amidst six total individual competitors.
The Minnesota native played strong on her front nine holes carding three birdies and five pars. She tallied six pars and an additional birdie on the back nine to propel her up the leaderboard 16 places. McCauley sits tied for 18th place headed into the final round with a two day score of 77-72-149 (+5).
The top five teams headed into round three are host Auburn, Houston, North Carolina, and Oregon, with Georgia and Tulsa tied for fifth. Moa Svedenskiold (Houston) sits in the top spot with a two-day score of 141 (-3), while South Carolina's Louise Rydqvist is currently the top individual not among the top-five teams at 1-under par (143).
