Gophers Add Transfer Madison Le for Upcoming Season

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women's golf team announced the signing of Madison Le, a junior transfer from the University of Texas at Arlington. Le will join the Gophers in the upcoming 2024-25 season. 
 

"We're very excited to welcome Madison to Minnesota," said head coach Matt Higgins. "Madison brings experience, knowledge, and leadership. She will step in and contribute immensely." 

 

Madison Le is a native of Mansfield, Texas and attended Mansfield High School before beginning her collegiate career at UTA. While in high school, Le was named the 2021 Tarrant County Girls Golfer of the Year. During her freshman campaign with the Mavericks, she held the team-best scoring average of 76.77 and was one of two athletes who competed in all 10 events of the 2022-23 season. 

 

As a sophomore, Le boasted the leading scoring average of 75.3 and held a team-high of 11 rounds of even-par or better. She tallied a career-low 67 during her fall campaign and notched a career-best finish of 2nd place at the ULM Invitational where she posted her best collegiate 54-hole score of 210.
