MINNEAPOLIS – University of Minnesota head women's golf coach Matt Higgins has announced that Miranda Greene is joining the Gopher women's golf staff as the associate head coach. Greene arrives in Minnesota with extensive experience and a proven track record of success. Most recently, she served as the assistant men's and women's golf coach at Regis University.

"I'm very excited to announce Miranda Greene as the new women's associate head golf coach at The University of Minnesota," said Higgins. "She comes very highly recommended and I can't wait to start working with her! Miranda's enthusiasm, positive attitude, and energy is infectious. She will be a tremendous asset to the Gopher women's golf program."

Greene has a multitude of coaching experience. She spent three years serving as assistant men's and women's golf coach at Regis University and Flagler College. At Regis, Greene coached the men to the seventh best scoring average and the women to the second best scoring average in program history. Notably, she coached an individual women's conference champion for the first time in program history. During her time at Flagler, Greene coached two All-Americans, one all-region honoree and seven all-conference selections. She guided the team to breaking two program and five individual records.

"I am deeply grateful and honored to join the University of Minnesota as the women's associate head golf coach," said Greene. "Being able to represent the Gophers and join the community is a dream come true. I want to extend my sincere thanks to Julie Manning and Matt Higgins for believing in me and for this incredible opportunity."

"The culture Matt Higgins has built over the years, coupled with the investment from the student-athletes, alumni and the Minnesota community sets an inspiring path for the future of the program. I am eager and ready to work alongside Matt and our team to create something extraordinary. Together, we will strive to elevate our program to new heights. Ski-U-Mah! Go Gophers!" she said.

Greene also spent time as a graduate assistant coach at Florida International University where she managed recruiting efforts that led to two First Team All-Conference USA selections and eight conference player of the week selections.

Off the course, Greene has helped develop strong academic programs. The Flagler women's team earned the WGCA (formerly NGCA) All-Scholar Team award eight times during her time with the program. The award was given seven times in her time at Florida International.

Greene received a bachelor's degree in sports management and business administration from Flagler College and a master's of business administration from Florida International University. She is a master instructor with the Ladies Professional Golfers' Association (LPGA).
