MINNEAPOLIS -- The 2023-24 WGCA All-American Scholar Team was released Monday with 1,497 women's collegiate golfers from 412 programs receiving the honor. Representing the Maroon and Gold on the list were Emma Carpenter, Grace Curran, Isabella McCauley, and Megan Furtney.
"What a great honor for these four student-athletes to be recognized for their hard work in the classroom," said head coach Matt Higgins. "I'm very proud of each one of them. They set the standard this past year demonstrating their hard work, not only on the course but in the classroom!"
Curran earns the award for the fourth time in her career, while Carpenter gets the honor for the third time and McCauley for the second. Furtney earned the honor last season as an incoming transfer and again this season.
To be eligible, the student-athlete must excel in both the classroom and on the golf course. The criteria for each nominee include a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater as well as participation in 50% of the team's competitive rounds.
