Five Gopher Student-Athletes Kick Off Tournament Play in Europe

MINNEAPOLIS - On Thursday, the University of Minnesota women's hockey program will see five Gopher skaters represent their home countries across two international tournaments in Europe.
 
In the 2024 Women's Euro World Hockey Tour (EHT), Nelli Laitinen and Krista Parkkonen are set to compete for Team Finland, Natalie Mlynkova for Team Czechia, and Josefin Bouveng for Team Sweden. The first EHT event will run from Aug. 29-31 in Kloten, Switzerland. The Swiss national team is also set to compete this weekend. The next EHT tournament will take place in Nov., hosted by Finland. Then, the third and final EHT event of the year will take place in Dec., hosted by Sweden.
 
Minnesota's Emma Kreisz will skate with Team Hungary in a Four Nations Tournament, the country's first international tournament of the year. Hungary will face Slovakia, France, and Germany from Aug. 29-31 in Füssen, Germany.
