Gophers Reveal 2024-25 Non-Conference Schedule

The season will begin on November 4, at Williams Arena.
MINNEAPOLIS – The second season for Minnesota women's basketball under head coach Dawn Plitzuweit begins November 4, and features 12 non-conference matchups with eight of them being hosted at historic Williams Arena.

Single-game tickets will be available for purchase in late September. Additionally, TV/streaming coverage, tipoff times and a promotions schedule will all be announced at a later date. Fans can guarantee their seats in all the team's home games by purchasing season tickets on GopherSports.com.

The first opportunity to see the Golden Gophers will be on November 4, against Central Connecticut State in the season-opener with the Blue Devils being the first between the two programs.

On November 8, Minnesota will see the Vermont Catamounts, who won 25 games last season and advanced to the WNIT Semifinals last season, at Williams Arena. Following the matchup with the Catamounts the Gophers will host UMass Lowell on November 12, before heading out for their first games away from Williams Arena.

The Maroon and Gold's first games away from home will be at the Briann January Classic with Oregon State, an Elite 8 program last season, on November 16, followed by ACC member SMU on November 17. The event will be hosted in Tempe, Ariz., at Desert Financial Arena on the campus of Arizona State University.

The Golden Gophers return home on November 20, for a contest with Eastern Illinois, the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs, followed by a November 24, matchup with Montana, who won 23 games a season ago and earned a berth to the WNIT.

Minnesota's second trip away from home during the non-conference portion of the campaign will be in a two game multi-team event (MTE) at the Big Easy Classic in New Orleans, La. Â The Gophers take on Houston of the BIG12 on November 29, at the John A. Alario Center, and then play Louisiana a day later on November 30, at the same venue. Â The non-conference schedule will close with a trio of games at Williams Arena in December. The first being against North Florida on December 3, followed by a December 11 meeting with Jackson State, an NCAA Tournament team last season. The final non-conference opponent on December 20 at Williams Arena will be announced at a later date.
