MINNEAPOLIS - Freshman defender Gracie Graham has been named WCHA Defender of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Graham earned the first WCHA weekly honor of her career after leading the Gophers with four points (1g-3a) and a plus/minus of four in last weekend's series against St. Thomas. Her first point of the weekend was an assist in Friday's 4-2 victory. The Kelowna, British Columbia native then tallied a single-game career-high of three points (1g-2a) in Saturday's 5-1 win, with her goal getting Minnesota on the board just 1:17 into the game.

Graham has recorded 10 total points (3g-7a) so far in her first collegiate season, ranking fourth among Gopher defenders. Additionally, her plus/minus of 13 is tied for fourth on the team through the first 23 games.
