No. 20 'U' Makes Midwest Swing to Indiana

The Gophers play Indiana Friday, Purdue Sunday
MINNEAPOLIS -- The No. 20 ranked Minnesota Golden Gophers (15-4, 5-3 B1G) will make a Midwest road swing to Indiana to take on the No. 23 Indiana Hoosiers (15-3, 6-2 B1G) and the No. 11 Purdue Boilermakers (15-3, 6-2 B1G). Friday's match is set for 5 p.m. CT on BTN while Sunday's at PU is set for noon CT on B1G+. Minnesota is looking to win at IU since their last meeting in 2023 and at Purdue for the first time since 2021.

• For the first time since Oct. 3, 1997, there will be an all top-25 volleyball matchup played in Bloomington (vs. No. 20 Minnesota, Oct. 24). Indiana is looking for its first top-25 home win since a 3-1 win over Purdue in 2023.

Despite losing their two star outside hitters from 2024, PU is still ranked in the top 15 in the country and enters the match with a 15-3 (6-2 Big Ten) record.
• Purdue was chosen to finish seventh in the B1G Preseason Coaches Poll. PU has beaten No. 15 Kansas, No. 10 SMU, No. 24 UCLA, No. 17 USC and No. 22 Indiana this season. They hold six total top-25 wins.
• Kenna Wollard (4.66 kps) leads the team in kills while setter Taylor Anderson (10.56 aps) runs the offense.
MINNESOTA'S HISTORY VS. INDIANA AND PURDUE

• Jordan Taylor made her mark since entering the starting lineup Sept. 21.

Statistically, Myers averaged 1.31 kills (.342), 1.0 blocks and 0.24 digs per set in her three years in West Lafayette. She had her best season in 2024, hitting .356 with 1.28 kills and 1.06 blocks per set.
• Myers posted four-or-more blocks 16 times and six-or-more blocks four times last season. She earned five-or-more kills in 17 matches. She ranked 25th in the Big Ten in blocks per set last season.

INJURIES AFFECTING MINNESOTA
• Minnesota is down four starters this season after the losses of outside Alex Acevedo, middle blocker Calissa Minatee, outside Mckenna Wucherer and libero Zeynep Palabiyik. Acevedo and Minatee are out with lower body injuries and Wucherer is out with a back injury while Palabiyik tore her ACL on Aug. 31. All plan on being back for Minnesota during the 2026 season.
• Combined, the four have played in 225 matches during their careers at the 'U.' Wucherer has been in the top three on the team in kills per set the last three years while Palabiyik has led the team in digs last year and this year. Minatee was the team's most efficient hitter in 2025, hitting .421 in nine matches.
