MINNEAPOLIS - Freshman goaltender Hannah Clark has been named WCHA Goaltender of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
This marks the second weekly conference honor for Clark this season, after she earned the same award on Nov. 18.
The Oshawa, Ontario native shined in No. 4 Minnesota's sweep of No. 6 Minnesota Duluth last weekend. Clark went 2-0-0 while starting in net, recording 50 saves against 52 shots for a .962 save percentage. She recorded her second-career shutout in Saturday's 1-0 Gopher victory, stopping all 22 of the Bulldogs' shots.
Clark got the starting nod between the pipes in 29 of Minnesota's 35 regular season games, racking up an overall record of 21-7-1. Her 21 wins are the most-ever recorded by a Gopher goaltender during their freshman season.
Clark's .741 goalie winning percentage ranks sixth in the nation and second in the conference. She has an overall save percentage of .905 with a 2.29 average goals against.
Clark was previously named to the HCA National Women's Goalie of the Year Watchlist on Jan. 14.
