MINNEAPOLIS - The No. 60 Minnesota tennis team fell 4-3 to No. 39 Northwestern on Sunday at Baseline Tennis Center, dropping its season record to 8-8.

Key Moments
Northwestern earned the doubles point with two wins over Minnesota. Sydney Pratt and Neena Feldman opened with a 6-1 victory over Jeselle Ante and Sofia Pinto at the No. 2 spot. Kiley Rabjohns and Britany Lau with a 6-2 win over Arina Valitova and Aiva Schmitz to clinch the point. 

Northwestern secured the match despite another strong singles effort from Minnesota. Aiva Schmitz put the Gophers on the board first with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1. The Wildcats responded as Neena Feldman claimed a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 6, but Minnesota regained the lead with Mia Liepert's 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 2. Northwestern went up 3-2 after Sydney Pratt's 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 5, but Minnesota quickly evened the score with Sofia Pinto's 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4. With the match on the line, Britany Lau outlasted Anali Kocevar 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 3 to secure the 4-3 victory for the Wildcats.
