Minnesota Ends Day One of Big Ten Championships

HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. – The University of Minnesota women's golf team completed the first 18 holes of the Big Ten Championships today. The Gophers finished in 16th place, shooting a 307 (+19).
Oregon leads the team field with a day one score of 286 (-2). Oregon's Ting-Hsuan Huang leads the individual field after a 69 (-3) round one.
Notable:
Sophomore Mariana Mesones and junior Isabella McCauley are tied for 47th place after each shooting a 76 (+4) on day one.
Juniors Ruby Chi and Madison Le finished the day within a stroke of each other. Chi shot a 77 (+5) to close the day tied for 59th. Le sits tied for 68th after tallying a 78 (+6).
Freshman Reese McCauley is tied for 83rd place with a day one score of 82 (+10).

The team will be back in action for the second round of the Big Ten Championships tomorrow, April 19. Tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. CST.
