MINNEAPOLIS - Head coach Brad Frost and the University of Minnesota women's hockey program have announced the addition of rising junior Molly Jordan ahead of the 2025-26 season.

A 5-6 defender from Berlin, Conn., Jordan will join the Gophers from Boston College, where in 69 career games she tallied 41 points (12g-29a). Jordan earned All-Hockey East Second-Team honors after notching a career-high 24 points last season (8g-16a), leading Eagle blueliners in points, goals, assists, and shots. Her three game-winning goals last season tied for second-most on the team, and she ranked fourth on the Eagles in total points.

Jordan was named Hockey East Defender of the Week on Oct. 28 after a three point (1g-2a) series against Clarkson. During her freshman season, she was selected as Hockey East Rookie of the Month for Jan. 2024 after an eight-point (3g-5a) performance throughout the month.

Prior to her collegiate career, Jordan was a two-time member of the U.S. Under-18 Women's National Team. She was an alternate captain of the bronze medal winning squad at the 2023 IIHF U18 Women's World Championships in Sweden, and was named to the tournament All-Star team. Jordan also won silver with the U.S. team at the 2022 IIHF U18 Women's World Championships in Wisconsin.

Jordan skated for the Bishop Kearney Selects during the 2022-23 season and the Connecticut Polar Bears for four seasons. She attended Loomis Chaffee School, where in addition to hockey she played lacrosse, field hockey, and golf.

"Molly is a very skilled defender with great vision and feet," said Frost. "We are looking forward to bringing her into our program and are excited to see her experience and passion flourish in WCHA."

Jordan joins transfer Jamie Nelson and six incoming freshmen in the 2025-26 Gopher class: defender Sydney Bailey (Rogers, Minn.), forward Sienna D'Alessandro (Pointe-Claire, Quebec), forward Bella Fanale (Webster, N.Y.), goaltender Layla Hemp (Chanhassen, Minn.), forward Avery Hovland (West Fargo, N.D.), and forward Tereza Plosova (Šimonovice, Czechia).
