Minnesota in Sixth After Day Two at Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE S.C. – The Golden Gophers women's golf team closed out their second round at the Lady Paladin Invitational Saturday and moved down one spot into sixth place. Minnesota posted a round two score of 290 (+2) and is tied with
UNCW.
Playing as an individual, freshman Lauryn Finley shot a 3-under-par 69.
"I'm really happy for Lauryn and the way she played in her second ever collegiate round," said head coach Matt Higgins. Finley tallied four birdies and moved up the leaderboard 31 spots to be tied for 22nd.
Alabama remains atop the leaderboard with a score of 560 (-16).
Notable:
Sophomore Mariana Mesones remains in the top ten, sitting in seventh place. Mesones shot a 2-under-par 70 and snagged three birdies for a two-day score of 139 (-5)
Senior Olivia Deakins shot a 1-under-par 71 after carding four birdies and is tied for 13th place.
Senior Isabella McCauley is tied for 33rd with a round two score of 2-over-par 74. Reese McCauley carded a 3-over-par 75 on day two and sits tied for 40th place heading into the final round.
Madison Le is tied for 70th place with a round two score of 4-over-par 76.

The third and final round of the Lady Paladin Invitational will take place Sunday, Sept. 21. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. CT with live results available via Scoreboard by Clippd.
