First-Place Performance Earns Crousore Share of Big Ten Weekly Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Sophomore Jack Crousore's medalist performance at the Robert Kepler Invitational (Apr. 11-12) earned him Big Ten Golfer of the Week honors, the conference announced Thursday.
Jack Buchanan of Southern California also received the honor by finishing 10-under-par (200) for first place at the 79th Western Intercollegiate (Apr. 13-15), helping the Trojans earn a tournament title.
Crousore tied his career-best, 54-hole score of 9-under-par (207), matching his performance from the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 19-20, 2025). He carded a score of 2-under-par (70) during the first and second rounds on Saturday, collecting nine birdies on the day. He tied his season-best, round score of 5-under-par (67) in the final round, gathering six-consecutive birdies on holes 11-16.
The win was Crousore's first in the Maroon and Gold, becoming the second Gopher to earn a title this season, joining sophomore Chun-Ta Wu from his showing at The Johnnie-O (Mar. 9-10).
His fantastic outing helped Minnesota earn a tournament title for the first time since the High Meadows Intercollegiate (Apr. 15-16, 2024), recording a team score of 31-under-par (833). This 54-hole score is the sixth-lowest since 1994-95, tying their performance from the High Meadows Intercollegiate (Apr. 15-16, 2024).
Freshman Torger Ohe and senior Cormac Sharpe joined Crousore by finishing inside the top three of the leaderboard, becoming the first trio to accomplish the feat since the Adams Cup (Sept. 29-30, 2003), where head coach Justin Smith led Minnesota with a score of 5-under-par (211).
Crousore and the Gophers now look ahead to the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational in Bloomington, Ind., on April 18-19. The tournament will take place at the Pfau Golf Course.
