Janay Sanders Signs with Charlotte Crown of UpShot League

MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota women's basketball alumna Janay Sanders has signed with the Charlotte Crown of the UpShot League.
Sanders competed for the Golden Gophers during the 2023-24 season in her graduate year. She played in 36 games, including 14 starts, averaging 19.1 minutes and 7.3 points per game.
Debuting in May 2026 as part of the league's inaugural four-team season, the Charlotte Crown will play at Bojangles Coliseum and will bring women's professional basketball back to the city for the first time since 2007.
