MINNEAPOLIS - Sophomore Chun-Ta Wu was selected to compete in the Columbus Regional of the NCAA men's golf championships on May 18-20, the NCAA announced Wednesday.

Wu will be the fourth seed among 10 golfers in Columbus, including four from the Big Ten Conference. Thirteen programs will compete in team competition throughout the three-day event, hosted by Ohio State at the Ohio State University Golf Course.

The sophomore is coming off a stellar second season in the Maroon and Gold, earning All-Big Ten Second Team honors along with Big Ten Golfer of the Week for his title performance at The Johnnie-O (Mar. 9-10). He collected three top-10 finishes and five top-20 results on the year. Recently, he placed ninth at the Big Ten Championships with a score of 1-under-par (209).Ā

Wu travels back to Columbus for the second tournament this season, competing at the Robert Kepler Invitational (Apr. 11-12) at the Columbus Country Club. He shot 2-under-par (214) with 10 birdies and his team-best seventh eagle on the year, helping the Golden Gophers collect a tournament title.

The native of New South Wales, Australia, becomes the first Gopher since 2024 to compete as an individual in the NCAA Championships, where Ben Warian tied for second with a score of 11-under-par (199) at the Stanford Regional. Warian later placed 25th among all golfers at the NCAA National Championships with a score of 4-over-par (292).

Wu will tee off on Monday, May 18, from Columbus. Tee times will be provided at a later date.
