MINNEAPOLIS - Former University of Minnesota women's basketball center Sophie Hart has signed a professional contract with Bosonit Unibasket Logroño of Spain's LF Challenge.
Hart leaves a lasting imprint on the Minnesota record books, concluding her time in Minneapolis with a career field goal percentage of 54.5 percent (445-for-816), which ranks third all-time in program history. After transferring to Minnesota, Hart started all 99 games across her three seasons as a Gopher, surpassing the 1,000-point landmark in her final collegiate tournament run.
During her graduate season in 2025-26, Hart earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award while averaging a career-best 11.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. She co-led the Gophers with four double-doubles on the year, anchored by a historic performance in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals against Ohio State where she scored 12 points and pulled down 19 rebounds: tying the program's Big Ten Tournament single-game rebound record. Her steady interior presence helped propel Minnesota to its first NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen appearance since 2005.
