2015 · SENIOR SEASON:
Made two starts before an arm injury ended his season · had an 0-1 record and pitched a total of 4.0 innings and allowed five earned runs · pitched 2.2 innings at Houston, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks and striking out one (2/15) · threw 1.1 innings at Texas, striking one out and allowing three runs before leaving the game with an injury.

2014 · JUNIOR SEASON:
Joined the team as a walk-on in fall of 2013·appeared in 11 games · started his career with three scoreless appearances · entered the starting rotation against Iowa (4/20), and made five starts · in his first two starts, pitched a combined 13.0 shutout innings with 11 strikeouts · had a 2.84 era in 44.1 innings pitched, with 23 strikeouts and 10 walks · was 1-1 in Big Ten play · tied for fourth within Big Ten play in opponent batting average (.214) · did not allow a home run this season · threw 3.1 scoreless innings against Saint Mary's College (3/19), picking up his first career win · pitched 3.1 innings, striking out two and allowing no runs at South Dakota State (4/9) · in his first career start, pitched 6.0 scoreless innings and allowed three hits at Iowa (4/20) · named Big Ten Co-Pitcher of the Week after striking out a season-high nine in 7.0 shutout innings against Penn State (4/26) · went 6.0 innings allowing three runs and two walks vs. Purdue (5/11).

HIGH SCHOOL/PREVIOUS:
A 2010 graduate of Eagan High School · in 2009, helped Eagan win its section and advance to its first state tournament ever · named all-state, all-section and All-Lake Conference in 2010 · set school records for: hits in a game (6), wins in a season (7), strikeouts in a season (53), career innings pitched (121.3), career wins (12), career strikeouts (98) · was a Lions all-star and Twin Cities all-star · in summer 2013, took third in the Minnesota amateur baseball state tournament with the Eagan Bandits.

Born Oct. 3, 1991 · son of Bob and Karen Kunik · has a younger brother, Kevin, who plays baseball at St. Scholastica · has earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and is pursuing another bachelor's degree in communication studies.
