2017 - SENIOR SEASON: Started six of the seven games he played in - led team in completions (59), passing yards (839) and passing touchdowns (5) - received team's Neil Fredenburg Award (love of the game) - Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Started against Buffalo and completed 12-of-21 passes for 176 yards and one touchdown - found Tyler Johnson for a 61-yard touchdown against Buffalo - completed 7-of-8 passes for 158 yards and one touchdown at Oregon State and also rushed six times for 14 yards - connected with Tyler Johnson for a 67-yard touchdown at Oregon State, which was Minnesota's longest passing touchdown since 2007 when Adam Weber found Ralph Spry for a 71-yard touchdown - passed for 122 yards, as he completed 11-of-18 attempts against Middle Tennessee - completed 13 passes for 229 yards and one touchdown against Maryland - passed for two touchdowns and 101 yards at Purdue - completed five passes for 53 yards against Michigan State - saw action as a reserve against Nebraska.Â
2016 - JUNIOR SEASON: Played in three games and completed eight of 16 passes for 88 yards and one touchdown. Game-by-Game: Completed his only pass against Indiana State, which was a six-yard reception to Hunter Register - made his first career start at Maryland and completed 7-of-15 passes for 82 yards and one touchdown - saw action as a reserve at Illinois - Academic All-Big Ten.
2015 - SOPHOMORE SEASON:Â Did not see game action - named Offensive Work Team Player of the Year.
2014 - FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in two games - made his Minnesota and collegiate debut against San Jose State, but did not record any statistics - attempted one pass against Iowa.
2013: Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate from Cretin-Derham Hall - helped team to a 6-3 record and a 6-2 conference mark as a senior - threw for 1,400 yards and 19 touchdowns - rushed for 550 yards and three scores - took over the starting role in the fifth game of his junior season and then passed for 1,000 yards (9 TDs) and rushed for 400 yards (4 TDs) - also lettered three years in baseball - coached by Mike Scanlan.
PERSONAL: Born Feb. 15, 1995 - son of Jeff and Mary Sue Rhoda - has two siblings.
