Fleck on Aug. 20, 2018 ā¢Ā believed to be the second walk-on true freshman quarterback to start a season opener, joining Baker Mayfield who started his first game at Texas Tech in 2013 after walking on ⢠started the first seven games of the season and played in eight total ⢠hampered for the second half of the season with an injuryĀ ā¢Ā completed 97 passes for 1,277 yards (third most all-time for a Minnesota freshman) and nine touchdowns (tied for third most all-time for a Minnesota freshman with Tanner Morgan). HIGH SCHOOL: Attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. ⢠wore No. 18 for the Ascenders ⢠as a senior, completed 63-of-112 passes for 940 yards and 10 touchdowns, as he helped lead IMG Academy to an undefeated season ⢠finished career with 1,137 passing yards and 14 touchdowns ⢠was the starting quarterback at Mankato West as a sophomore in 2015, but was sidelined by an ankle injuryĀ ā¢Ā three-star recruit by 247Sports ⢠the No. 45 ranked pro-style quarterback and No. 214 overall recruit in Florida by 247Sports ⢠enrolled at Minnesota in January 2018.
PERSONAL: Son of Scott and Jennifer Annexstad ⢠brother, Brock, is a receiver for the Gophers ⢠father, Scott, played at Minnesota from 1982-83 and then saw time with Kansas City and Washington in the NFL ⢠cousin, Sam Dekker, played basketball at Wisconsin from 2012-15 and has played in the NBA for the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers.Ā
