2016-17 Senior Season:Â All-American - Academic All-Big Ten - Outstanding Student-Athlete award - Team Captain - Team MVP - earned first place with a 413.40 in 1-meter diving against Iowa - finished first place in 3-meter diving with a 415.85 against Hawaii and Drury - improved to 453.85 in 2-meter diving at the Minnesota Challenge - improved to 434.65 in 3-meter diving at the Minnesota Challenge - earned fifth place with a 439.35 in 2-meter diving at the 2017 Big Ten Championships - earned seventh place in 1-meter diving with a 383.35 at the 2017 Big Ten Championships - posted two, seventh place finishes at the 2017 NCAA Championships: 2-meter diving (422.90) and 3-meter diving (415.90).
2015-16 Junior Season: Named MVP by teammates - Earned All-America status at the 2016 NCAA Championships after placing 7th on 3-meter and 9th on platform; also finished 19th on 1-meter - Won 3-meter Big Ten Title, finished 4th on platform and 6th on 1-meter at the 2016 Big Ten Championships - Named Big Ten Diver of the Week six times during the regular season - Tallied 12 first-place marks - Swept diving competition at the Jean Freeman Invite, Iowa and Wisconsin - At the 2016 Minnesota Challenge, Barnard broke the Minnesota school record for the second time this season with 450.95 points - At the 2015 Jean Freeman Invite, Barnard broke school records in both 3-meter (446.40) and platform diving (475.40) - Notched career best score on 1-meter board (378.60) with sweep at Iowa.Â
2013-2014 Freshman Season: Letterwinner - At the 2014 NCAA Championships, Barnard suffered injury on 3m diving that prevented him in competing in the platform diving contest, his favorite event. He finished 31st in 1m and 30th in 3m (3/27-3/28) - Finished 2nd on platform at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships to qualify for the NCAA Championships (3/10-3/12) - Finished 9th on platform, 8th on 3m and 14th on 1m at the 2014 Big Ten Championships (2/21-3/1) - Recorded a 4th place finish in 1m diving at the 2015 Minnesota Challenge (2/8) - Finished 4th in 1m and 2nd in 3m against Purdue and Wisconsin in the Big Ten Triple Dual (1/31) - Made his collegiate debut against N.C. State where he finished 3rd in 1m and 2nd in 3m (1/24) - Became eligible following the Fall 2013 semester.
High School: 2013 graduate of Ormiston College - Coached by Michael Martens and Xianging Chen - Five-time Junior National Champion - Three-time Australian Junior Diver of the Year - Two-time Junior World Championships competitor - Australian National Team Member - FINA Grand Prix Competitor - Considers most memorable sports thrill when he took home a bronze medal in 3-meter synchronized diving at the 2012 FINA Junior World Championships in front of a hometown crowd. Â
