2016-17 Senior Season:Â Improved to 52.52 in the 100-yard breast at the Big Ten Championships - finished with a 56.65 in the 100-yard breast against Iowa - earned a 56.33 in the 100-yard breast against North Dakota - placed first with a 55.51 in the 100-yard breast - improved to 54.01 in the 100-yard breast at the AT&T Winter Championships - earned 52.69 in the 100-yard breast at the NCAA Championships.

2015-16 Junior Season: At the 2016 Big Ten Championships, Sande finished 12th in the 100 breast, 19th in the 200 breast and 64th in the 50 free - Tallied 10 top-five finishes during the regular season - Won the 100 breast at North Dakota - Finished first in the 100 breast against Florida.

2014-15 Sophomore Season: Voted "Most Improved" by team - First-year letterwinner - At the 2015 Big Ten Championships, Sande finished 13th in the 100 breast and 24th in the 200 breast (1/25-1/28) - Recorded a 7th place finish in the 200 free at the 2015 Minnesota Challenge (2/7) - Finished 4th in the 100 breast against Purdue and Northwestern (1/30-1/31) - Took 3rd in both the 100 breast and 200 breast at N.C. State (1/23-1/24) - Competed in the breaststroke events at Hawaii (1/7) - Placed 3rd in the 500 free, 26th in the 200 free and 31st in the 100 free at the 2014 Jean K. High School: Graduate of Stockdale High School (2013) - swam for high school team under instruction of Adam Bledsoe and Clark Jue - four year letter-winner in swimming - also lettered in basketball - received All-Area honors from 2011 to 2013 - All-American in 2013 - received All-American honors from NISCA/Speedo - received 2013 All-Area Swimmer of the Year award - member of Bakersfield Swim Club, Rio Bravo Greeley Swim Team, and Roadrunner Aquatics Team - enters freshman season with short course time of 56.03 in 100 breast and 1:41.16 in the 200 free - Recorded long course times of 1:05.39 in the 100 breast and 1:55.62 in the 200 free.

Personal: Born May 23, 1995 - son of Denise and Jeffrey Sande - has one sister Elizabeth Sande - plans to major in computer science - favorite swimming memory was making his first Junior Nationals cut - plans to enlist in Marines after graduation - enjoys being outdoors.
