Career Notes: Two-time All-American.
2012-13 Senior Season: Competed in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 medley relay and placed third as a member of the 400 free relay at Michigan (10/5).
2011-12 Junior Season: Earned two All-American honors at the NCAA Championships member of the 12th place 200 free relay team (1:18.47) swam in the 15th place 400 free relay (2:54.85) swam a new top time in the 50 free (20.27) also swam a top time in the 100 free (44.10) and 100 fly (49.05) at the Big Ten Championships member of the third place 400 free relay and fifth place 200 free relay at Big Tens letterwinner.
2010-11 Sophomore Season: Set new career top times in three events (50 free, 100 free, 100 back) at the Spring Speedo Championships also recorded new best times in the 50 and 200 back letterwinner.
2009-10 Freshman Season: Swam at the Big Ten Championships where he placed 45th in the 50 free (21.02), 34th in the 100 backstroke (51.34) and 22nd in the 100 free (45.49).
High School: A 2009 graduate of Fargo South High School in Fargo, N.D. won four state titles at the 2009 North Dakota State Championships in the 50 freestyle, 100 free, 200 free relay and 400 free relay Junior Nationals qualifier high school All-American in 50 and 100 free competed for the Moorhead Marlins club team and coach Pat Anderson becomes the first North Dakota swimmer to join the Minnesota swimming program since 2000.
Personal: Born March 11, 1991 majoring in psychology son of Wes and Stacey Griggs has one brother, Peter.
