TEAM / SERIES NOTES
• This afternoon’s game was the 52nd meeting in the all-time series with Ohio State, and the Buckeyes now hold a 45-7-0 lead (OSU is 24-3 at Ohio Stadium).
• P.J. Fleck’s second-year mark at Minnesota is 8-10 and sixth-year career mark stands at 38-32.
• The Buckeyes won the coin toss and deferred. Minnesota received the kickoff and defended the south end zone.
• The temperature at kickoff was 45 degrees.
• Minnesota rushed for 178 yards (5.4 yards per carry), while holding Ohio State’s potent rushing attack to 92 yards (2.9 per attempt). It was the fourth time this season the Gophers have allowed less than 100 yards on the ground.
• The Gophers had 218 yards passing, averaging 9.5 yards per attempt and 16.8 yards per completion.
• Minnesota was forced to punt just twice in the contest.

• Zack Annexstad completed 13 of 23 passes for 218 yards and two interceptions on deep passes. For the season, Annexstad moved past 1,000 yards, and is now 88-of-167 for 1,142 yards and eight TDs with seven interceptions.
• Mohamed Ibrahim had a career day, rushing 23 times for a career-high 157 yards and his first two collegiate touchdowns. Ibrahim had 14 carries for 105 yards and both TDs in the first half. For the season, he leads the team with 415 yards.
• Tyler Johnson led the team with eight catches for 119 yards, his seventh career 100-yard receiving game. Johnson leads the Gophers with 36 catches for 521 yards and six TDs this season.
• Bryce Witham recorded the first receptions of his career, catching two balls for 62 yards in the fourth quarter.
• Antonio Shenault finished with a career-high 13 tackles (10 solo), including one tackle for loss.
• Blake Cashman tied with Shenault with 13 tackles (nine solo), including two TFLs and a pass breakup.
• Thomas Barber registered nine stops (six solo) and a pass breakup.
• Carter Coughlin recorded seven tackles (five solo), including two sacks for 16 yards in losses, a forced fumble, and 3.0 TFLs. Coughlin now has 11 sacks in his past 12 games for the Gophers and he leads Minnesota with seven sacks this season.
