Postgame Notes - Nebraska

TEAM / SERIES NOTES
• This afternoon’s game was the 59th meeting in the all-time series with Nebraska, and the Gophers now hold a 32-25-2 lead (Minnesota is 10-12 at Memorial Stadium).
• P.J. Fleck’s second-year mark at Minnesota is 8-11 and sixth-year career mark stands at 38-33.
• Nebraska won the coin toss and received. Minnesota defended the north end zone.
• The temperature at kickoff was 58 degrees.
• The Gophers passed for 349 yards in the game, its most yards passing since having 373 versus Northern Illinois on Sept. 25, 2010. The total was the most for the Gophers in a Big Ten game since having 416 yards through the air versus Michigan State on Oct. 31, 2009.
• The Gophers were 4-for-6 on Red Zone possessions, with four touchdowns. So far this season, the Gophers are 23-for-30 in the Red Zone with 20 touchdowns.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Zack Annexstad completed 9 of 20 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown, his ninth this season. Annexstad nine TDs ranks third for most passing TDs by a Minnesota freshman.
• Annexstad now ranks second for freshman passing yards at Minnesota. He’s 97 of 187 for 1,277 yards this season.
• Tanner Morgan played the second half at QB, completing 11 of 16 passes for 214 yards and one interception. Morgan also ran the ball four times for 35 yards (8.8 ypc).
• Seth Green ran the ball five times for 17 yards, including his team-leading sixth rushing TD of the season. Green also recorded his first career reception, which went for 31 yards.
• Tyler Johnson led the team with career-highs of 11 catches for 184 yards, his eighth career 100-yard receiving game and fifth this season. Johnson moves into a tie for fourth in career 100-yard games and is tied for second on the single-season list.
• Johnson’s 184 receiving yards is seventh-best on Minnesota’s single-game list, and it was the most yards in a Big Ten game since Eric Decker had 190 versus Indiana on Oct. 4, 2008.
• For the season, Johnson leads the Gophers with 47 catches for 705 yards and six TDs, and he now ranks 13th for career receiving yards with 1,523.
• Mohamed Ibrahim led the Gophers with 49 yards rushing on 18 carries, including his third TD in the past two games.
• Demetrius Douglas caught his first career touchdown for the Gophers, finishing the day with three catches for 31 yards.
• Chris Autman-Bell had two catches for a career-high 75 yards, including a career-best 69-yard catch and run.
• Carter Coughlin recorded his Big Ten-leading eighth sack of the season.
• Blake Cashman led the team with 11 tackles (five solo), including two TFLs and a pass breakup. In the past two games, Cashman has 24 tackles (14 solo), with four TFLs and two pass breakups. Cashman and Coughlin are tied for the team lead with 10.5 TFLs apiece this season.
• Jacob Huff finished with nine tackles (five solo) and a pass breakup.
• Jordan Howden recorded a career-hjigh eight tackles (four solo).
• Jacob Herbers punted six times for a 41.3 yard average, with five of his six punts being downed inside the 20.
