No one disputes that John Roethlisberger is the greatest gymnast Minnesota has produced. By the end of his four years at the University he had shattered almost every school record.

The first gymnast in Big Ten history to win four all-around conference championships, he was also twice an Academic All-American.
Roethlisberger won the 1993 Nissan Award as the nation’s most outstanding senior gymnast, based on athletic and academic achievement. He also won the Big Ten Medal of Honor in 1993, the Jesse Owens Award in 1993, and was an NCAA Top-Six Award winner in 1994 as one of the nation’s top six athletes.
An Olympian in 1992, 1996 and 2000, Roethlisberger was also an 11-year member of the U.S. National Team.
