Ed Kalafat - M Club Hall of Fame

Ed Kalafat
Men’s Basketball, 1952-54
HOF Class of 2001

Ed Kalafat posted identical 15.9 points-per-game averages in 1952 and 1953, leading the Gophers in that category both years.

His average was 12.0 points per game in 1954, still good enough for him to be named team MVP. The Gophers finished third in the Big Ten all three years.

Kalafat was chosen to play in the East-West Shrine game, and the East-West New York Herald game.

First pick of the Minneapolis Lakers in the 1954 NBA draft, he played with them for three seasons, averaging 7.1 points per game.
